Lower Netherdale lies about 12 miles down river from Huntly. Access from Huntly is via the A97 road to Banff. After crossing the river Deveron at Bridge of Marnoch take first road on the right and the route to Netherdale is well sign posted so proceed until you reach Netherdale House. The gillies cottage is about 50 yards before you reach the main house on the left.
The hut is situated in the middle of the beat, which is about 2 miles long. The hut is very spacious and there is ample parking nearby. The top half of the beat is double banked and the lower half is fished from the left bank only. There is road access to both top and lower sections. It is a 4 rod beat, except for the months of June, July and August when it is reduced to 3. There are 18 named pools.
Fishing is by fly and spinning.
There is a ghillie on the beat and he will be show you over the beat, but will not be with you on a full time basis.
