Location & Directions
Kinnairdy Castle lies approximately 8 miles down river from Huntly. From Huntly via the A97 (Huntly/Banff road) until just beyond the road bridge at Marnoch. Take the road to the right signed Kinnairdy/Netherdale and a short way along this road at approximately 600 meters there is a road off to the right. This will take you to Kinnairdy Castle.
The Fishing
The fishing is on the left bank only and the beat is about one mile long. There are 6 named pools and it is let as a 2 rod beat. The owner reserves the right to fish a third rod, but this is not often used.
Anyone unfamiliar with the beat will be shown over. There is a small hut by the river, but it is not suitable for leaving tackle overnight.
Fly fishing and spinning is permitted. Worming is permitted only during the months of June to September.
