Location & Directions
Huntly Fishings are located close to the town centre, some stretches within walking distance. The river Isla is about 4 miles out of Huntly on the B9022 towards Rothiemay. A map of the river and pools is available for collection when you purchase your permit from Murdoch McMath & Mitchell Solicitors at 27-29 Duke Street, Huntly AB54 8DP (tel. 01466 792291).
The Fishing
Fishing consists of 3 miles mainly double banked on the river Deveron, 6 miles mainly double banked on the river Bogie and 3 miles on the right bank of the river Isla. The average catch for the season is 110 salmon and grilse and 45 sea trout. The prices for permits for visiting anglers are:

Fishing is by fly, worm and spinning, but only fly fishing during October.
