Location & Directions
Coniecleugh lies approximately four miles downriver from Huntly. Access is off the Huntly/Portsoy road B9022 to Coniecleugh Farm. There is a car park here together with a portacabin and Rod Box.
The Fishing
Coniecleugh Beat is approximately two and a half miles long and is mainly double banked.
This is a 4 rod beat normally fished on a two-up, two-down basis with a change over at lunch time. The bank is quite rocky in parts and care should be taken. There are about twenty named pools on the beat.
Fishing is by fly and spinning only. Worming is not permitted.
